What we record
For each program we record nine things: commission, cookie length in days, how many months commission recurs, approval type, geo, the program's own terms page (source), the affiliate signup page, a short note, and the date we last checked it.
Where the numbers come from
Every figure is copied from the program's own terms or partner page, the one linked as the source on each program page. We do not use other directories, forum posts or guesses. If the page does not say something, we leave the field blank and the site shows "Not stated".
What verified means
A program counts as verified when we found its commission on its own page. Rows we could not confirm are marked unverified. They stay in the directory table but get no program page and are left out of lists, comparisons and the data files. If a company tells us it has no affiliate program, the row is hidden from the site.
How recurring is recorded
Recurring is a number of months, one-time (0), lifetime, ongoing (recurring with no end date on the page), or blank when the page does not say.
Dates
The "Last verified" date on each page is the day we last read the source page. We do not change it unless we check again. List and comparison titles show the month of the newest check among the programs on that page.
Re-checks
We re-check programs in batches. When a page changes, we update the row and the date. Terms can change at any time, so confirm on the source page before you rely on a number.
